Kallie & Frankie

Saints Paul & Peter Catholic Church | Private Residence | Mankato, MN | Summer Wedding

Kallie & Frankie were married on the most beautiful August day in Mankato, Minnesota, the kind of summer day photographers dream about. We began the morning at Saints Peter and Paul Church, where the wedding party was getting ready. When I arrived, the bluest sky and soft, billowy clouds framed the church perfectly. I paused for a moment to take it all in, knowing something truly special was about to unfold.

I started the day by capturing Kallie’s thoughtfully chosen details. From her delicate accessories to the meaningful touches woven throughout the design, every element reflected her exquisite eye. Her attention to detail shined all day long, creating an atmosphere that felt deeply personal to both her and Frankie.

Once details were complete, it was time for Frankie’s portraits. He was giddy with both a mix of excitement and anticipation as he waited to see his bride walk down the aisle. As we finished up groom portraits, we took a few quick wedding party photos and then the focus shifted to the ceremony, where Kallie and Frankie would commit their lives to one another surrounded by their loving community of family and friends.

The interior of the church was breathtaking, but nothing compared to the moment Kallie walked down the aisle. As she met Frankie at the altar, emotions overflowed. Tears streamed down both of their faces in the sweetest, most heartfelt exchange, a moment that felt sacred and unforgettable.

Following the ceremony, we snuck away for bride and groom portraits around the church. Those first quiet moments as husband and wife are always some of my favorites to capture. Through my lens, I watched them soak it all in — the joy, the excitement, the overwhelming love. They truly cherish one another, and the way they look at each other speaks of a love built to last a lifetime.

The celebration continued with the most beautiful backyard reception, reminiscent of something straight out of Father of the Bride. Elegant details, glowing light, and the warmth of loved ones gathered together created pure magic. Heartfelt toasts were shared, the sweetest cake was cut, and we slipped away briefly to explore the property for a few more portraits, preserving just a little more of their day in time.

As they returned to the reception, Kallie and Frankie shared their first dance as husband and wife, followed by tender, emotional dances with their parents. It was the perfect beginning to a joyful evening spent celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. on the dance floor.

I couldn’t be happier for this beautiful couple and feel so honored to have captured their incredible love story. Kallie and Frankie, thank you for trusting me with your day, it was truly unforgettable.
