Annika & Jack

Aster Cafe | St. Olaf Catholic Church | Minneapolis | Summer Wedding

Annika & Jack’s Minneapolis wedding was a true celebration of love, legacy, and the city that helped shape their story. Their day unfolded across some of the most iconic locations in the Twin Cities, blending meaningful moments with timeless urban elegance.

They exchanged vows at Saint Olaf Catholic Church in downtown Minneapolis, a classic and reverent setting that set the tone for the day. Their ceremony was heartfelt and intentional, surrounded by family and friends who have walked alongside them through every season of their relationship.

After the ceremony, we boarded a trolley and began traveling through Minneapolis and St. Paul for portraits. Our first stop was The University of St. Thomas, where Annika and Jack first met. Photographing them on campus felt full circle — returning to the place where their story began. The architecture and grounds provided a beautiful backdrop, but the meaning behind the location made it truly special.

From there, we stepped away for a quiet moment at a nearby park overlooking the Mississippi River. This time was reserved just for Annika and Jack — no wedding party, no guests, just space to breathe and take in the beauty of the day. These moments of stillness are often where the most genuine images happen.

Next, we headed to the Stone Arch Bridge for wedding party photos. Somehow, we lucked out with minimal foot traffic — a rare occurrence for a June Saturday in Minneapolis. With the skyline stretching behind them, the energy was relaxed, joyful, and effortless.

The celebration continued at Aster Café, one of the most beloved Minneapolis wedding venues. Overlooking the Mississippi River with views of the downtown skyline, the space felt perfectly aligned with Annika and Jack’s style — classic, intimate, and welcoming. They spent the evening greeting guests, listening to thoughtful toasts, and enjoying an incredible meal prepared by the Aster Café team.

Just before sunset, we stepped outside for golden hour wedding portraits at one of the most recognizable viewpoints in the Twin Cities. With the Minneapolis skyline glowing behind them, the timing couldn’t have been better.

Annika and Jack shared their first dance as husband and wife back inside, followed by an unforgettable night of dancing led by the Bluewater Kings Band. The dance floor stayed full, the energy stayed high, and the celebration never missed a beat.

Annika & Jack’s Minneapolis wedding was intentional, personal, and filled with so many special moments that were authentically, them — a day that felt true to who they are and the life they’re building together.
